The opening of London Fashion week took place at the beautiful Somerset House by J JS.Lee. The unique collection portrayed a sleek and elegant touch to the runway. Lee’s minimalistic approach, elegant patterns and pops of colour is really ready to wear. Embodying the modern woman and bringing fashion to life!

Daks collection was feminine and edgy. Leather touches in combination with soft materials added the right amount of balance. The colour scheme was mostly in greyish and white with light purple being the centre of attention! This collection had everything, a mix of British Victorian costume appeal with a laid back vibe and a tailored  masculinity. Truly inspired.

The Bora Aksu collection was mainly focused on crocheted lace fabrics but utilised in such way that created such a dramatic and theatrical effect! The sheer overlay of the fabrics reveals just enough skin giving any woman a provocative but yet mysterious image such as a fairytale one. An amazing collection with unparalleled attention to detail. Where baroque and romance met darkness! Outstanding!

The Jean Pierre Braganza collection was sleek, bold and monochromatic. There is a complicated simplicity in all designs and an asymmetry that makes the designs much more structured to the eye.The usual de-constructed tailoring that Braganza goes for is toned down for his Spring/Summer collection. The collection is in a whole lurex satin feel which we love because it adds an extra dimension.

Amanda Wakeley: The “snow-white” lady rocks minimalism in every inch of her designs. Strong, minimalistic outfits that show some skin is what the coming summer will be all about! Highlights of the collection are the high waisted belted attires accompanied with detailed tops finished with mesh and cut-out details. The approach to the designs is more sexy than feminine and appropriate for any woman.
